Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Rhino Orphanage

A sanctuary for orphaned elephants, providing care and rehabilitation for those who have lost their mothers to poaching or natural causes. Founded by Daphne Sheldrick in memory of her late husband, David Sheldrick, the orphanage aims to reintroduce the elephants back into the wild while educating visitors about conservation efforts. Similarly, the Rhino Orphanage in Kenya offers refuge and rehabilitation for orphaned rhinos, focusing on endangered black and white rhino species, with the goal of eventual release into protected areas.

Karen Blixen Museum

A historic house museum dedicated to preserving the memory of Danish author Karen Blixen, also known by her pen name Isak Dinesen, and her life in Kenya during the early 20th century.
